Care Plan F.A.Q
Do I need a Care Plan?
WordPress is an excellent choice for building your website, but it does need regular care to keep it secure and running smoothly.
Many business owners attempt to manage this themselves, only to realize it can be quite challenging. For a small brochure-style website, you should plan for about 1-2 hours of maintenance each month. During this time, you might uncover 2-5 security vulnerabilities that need immediate attention. If you’re only updating your site once a month, you could leave it exposed to risks for weeks, making it vulnerable to hacks and malware.
Additionally, updates to plugins and themes can sometimes lead to compatibility issues. If conflicts arise, would you know how to resolve them? Some updates might even cause critical errors, which require specific steps to fix.
The good news is, you don’t have to handle this alone. By letting us manage your website maintenance, you can rest assured that everything will be taken care of properly and promptly. This way, you can focus on growing your business while we ensure your site stays secure and functional.
Can I have multiple websites under a care plan?
A care plan is linked to a specific website. You can create multiple care plans for different sites, but each plan will have its own distinct cost and services associated with it.
Can I have a Care Plan if my website is hosted by someone else?
We can provide a care plan on most web hosts, however the prices advertised here are for websites on our hosting.
If you are not on our webhosting platform, there will be a 30% total cost fee added due to the increased labor required.
Can I have a Care Plan if my website was created elsewhere or is already established?
If your website was created elsewhere and/or already publicly exists, there will be a minimum $250 non-refundable audit to determine the website’s current standing. The cost may increase depending on the size of the website.
Some websites might have existing problems that must be addressed before they can be approved for a care plan. This information will be provided to you along with all costs associated should you choose to move forward in the creation of a care plan.
Does unused support time carry over?
No, unused support time does not carry over. When you sign up for support time, we include that time in our monthly labor allocation, regardless of whether you use it. If we allowed rollover and clients were to use several months’ worth of hours in a single month, we wouldn’t be able to provide that level of support effectively.’
If I break my site, is that covered?
If your site breaks for any reason that was not caused by our services, you would be charged using your support time or an hourly wage.
If we run into a site-breaking issue while performing the maintenance, that is covered for no additional charge, pending the fix takes under 3hours.
If repairs are expected to exceed 3 hours, you will be notified. You will be given the options of either restoring your site to a backup which would postpone the fix or to pay for the required labor.
What can I use the bundled support time for?
The bundled support time is not intended for major website projects. Please contact us for a quote on major additions or changes.
It can be used for:

- Website changes and updates such as content, minor design and alteration
- Additional plugin installs/configurations
- Website additions such as content, minor design, system, and structure
- General WordPress site assistance
- Additional services at our discretion
